5 days of driving, and it really wasn't all that bad. Little G was great in the car and slept well despite different sleeping arrangements every night. We made it with only two hiccups, the first was J* getting a bit of food poisoning after eating at a slightly sketch China buffet {he was better by lunch the next day}, and the second was forgetting to get gas before leaving town on our last day and having to pull over at a rest stop and call to get gas since we weren't going to make it to the next town! Only an hour and a half wait though, it could have been much worse!
So far we are enjoying it here. Everyone we have run into has been REALLY nice, must be that southern hospitality. And we are enjoying being in a more normal city - last night we went to the mall to kill time and we felt like we were in Roseville, MN! So much shopping! I also had my first taste of Chik-fil-a and I was pretty impressed by the quality for a fast food joint.
We aren't getting into housing on base until this Friday, so until then we are stuck in a hotel with a laptop that doesn't get wireless...yes it is that old! So sorry if this post looks a little funny and the layout is weird - I have no way to fix it when posting from my phone!
