Wanderlust: Carmel River State Beach

What a fun weekend! We started off with the Minnesota Vikings first pre-season game against the San Francisco 49ers. {A great matchup for us, although we lost...big news there, because we were able to get the game here in California.}

This was G's first game so we had to have some fun with it and document:

On Saturday we were invited to a beach bonfire at Carmel River State Beach. We have passed by this beach on our way to Point Lobos and Big Sur, but had never stopped there. We took a scenic route through the neighborhoods in Carmel so we didn't even realize what beach we were actually going to until we got there!

J* and I definitely want to check this place out again. The views and the homes along the way were amazing {we definitely saw a house, ahem - small mansion, with an AWESOME treehouse in the back! You know, like the ones they have in magazines?!} Not to mention the beach was not very busy and it was like having a private party! Dogs are also allowed at this beach, which is a definite bonus.
