Another weekend come and gone. It makes me sad to think we are running low on weekends here in the Monterey Bay as we get ready to close this chapter of our lives and start a new one!
We have been trying to make sure we get out and do some of the things we would regret not having done once we leave, as long as they are within our budget {Read: cheap! A surprise early move was definitely not in the budget!}
This weekend we decided to take on the 17 Mile Drive, famous for its scenic tour of the coastline and Pebble Beach Golf Resort.
To get on the 17 Mile Drive, you must first pay a toll - $9.75. The private road takes you on a beautifully serene drive through a pine forest, past perfectly manicured golf courses, and along the coast for breathtaking views of white sand beaches and waves crashing along the rocky points. The last few miles of the drive lead to Pebble Beach and the marvelous "homes" surrounding it. Truly a feast for the eyes!

We stopped at the Pebble Beach shops to see if we could snag a souvenir since we haven't really bought anything during our time here. We managed to find a bottle of wine made locally {Carmel Valley}, fitting for our time in wine country!
Afterwards we stopped at a taqueria that J* has been drooling over for quite some time now. From the outside it looks like nothing to get too excited about, but it seems in our experience sometimes those end up to be the best places. We were not disappointed, the food was delicious and the atmosphere took me right to Mexico! {Well, pretty close anyway!}
